Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026

Cashflow is a personal finance tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information Cashflow handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

This policy is written for the current behavior of the Cashflow app. Replace the contact placeholder before publishing.

Summary

Cashflow is designed to keep your personal finance data on your device. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.

Information You Add to Cashflow

Cashflow may store information that you choose to enter into the app, including:

  • income entries;

  • spending, debt, card, statement, and subscription entries;

  • cash account and investment holding entries;

  • wishlist and budget information;

  • notes you type into the app;

  • app preferences such as theme, preferred currency, notification settings, and biometric lock settings.

This information is used to provide app features such as dashboards, cashflow summaries, forecasts, reminders, import review, and CSV exports.

Local Storage

Cashflow stores your finance records in the app’s private storage on your device. Cashflow does not operate its own cloud account system and does not upload your finance records to a Cashflow server.

If you delete the app, iOS may remove the app’s local data from your device. If your device is backed up using Apple services, those backups are handled according to your Apple account and iCloud settings.

Sign in with Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide Cashflow with basic account information such as your Apple user identifier, name, and email address, depending on what you choose to share. Cashflow uses this information only to create and personalize your in-app profile.

Apple Wallet and FinanceKit

If Apple Wallet sync is enabled in a supported build, Cashflow may ask for permission to access supported Wallet financial data through Apple’s FinanceKit framework.

If you grant permission, Cashflow may read supported transaction information such as transaction description, merchant name, amount, date, account identifier, and whether the transaction is a credit or debit. Cashflow uses this information to prepare income and spending entries for your review.

Apple Wallet and FinanceKit data is not used for advertising or tracking. FinanceKit availability depends on Apple approval, device support, region support, and your permission.

Photos, PDFs, and Statement Import

If you import a statement from a screenshot, image, PDF, or file, Cashflow reads the selected item to extract statement and transaction details. The extracted information is used to prepare records for your review.

Cashflow does not access your photo library unless you choose a photo or screenshot through the system picker.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Cashflow may schedule local notifications for due dates and financial reminders. Notification permission is managed by iOS. Cashflow does not use notifications for advertising.

Face ID, Touch ID, and Device Passcode

If biometric lock is enabled, Cashflow uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework to ask iOS to authenticate you with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Cashflow does not receive or store your biometric data.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Cashflow may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions through Apple StoreKit. Payments are processed by Apple. Cashflow receives the entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, but it does not receive your full payment card details.

Network Requests

Cashflow may make limited network requests for app functionality, including:

  • fetching exchange-rate data;

  • downloading or caching subscription service logos;

  • communicating with Apple services for Sign in with Apple, StoreKit purchases, and FinanceKit permission or data access when those features are used.

These requests may expose standard technical information such as your IP address to the relevant service provider. Cashflow does not use these requests to track you across apps or websites.

CSV Export and Sharing

If you export a CSV report or share data from Cashflow, the exported file may contain the finance information shown in that report. You control where the file is saved or shared through the iOS share sheet.

Advertising and Tracking

Cashflow does not:

  • show third-party ads;

  • sell personal data;

  • share personal finance data with data brokers;

  • track you across other apps or websites for advertising.

Data Retention

Cashflow keeps locally stored data until you delete it in the app, reset app data where available, or delete the app from your device.

Temporary export files may remain available through iOS temporary storage or in the destination where you choose to save or share them.

Your Choices

You can:

  • edit or delete records inside the app;

  • disable reminders in Cashflow or iOS Settings;

  • disable biometric lock in Cashflow;

  • deny or revoke Photos, Notifications, FinanceKit, or other system permissions in iOS Settings;

  • delete the app to remove app-local data from the device, subject to iOS backup behavior.

Children’s Privacy

Cashflow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Cashflow’s features or data practices change. If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
